Bucktail Bucks Bound for the Next Level

Wagner, Ransom Sign Collegiate Letters of Intent

FARWELL — It was a celebratory day at Bucktail High School last week as senior standouts Kendall Wagner and Evan Ransom officially solidified their futures, signing their National Letters of Intent to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.

Family, coaches, and teammates gathered to watch the two decorated Bucks take the next major step in their sporting journeys, trading the red and white for new collegiate colors this fall.

Wagner Set to Wrestle for Lock Haven University

For Kendall Wagner, the signing cements her legacy as one of the most versatile and fiercely competitive athletes to wear a Bucktail uniform. A rare four-sport athlete, Wagner has spent her high school career showcasing her elite athleticism across completely different arenas: tennis, basketball, wrestling, and softball.

Ultimately, it was the wrestling mat that called her name for the next chapter. Wagner officially committed to Lock Haven University, where she will join the Bald Eagles’ rapidly growing women’s wrestling program.

Wagner’s drive isn’t limited to the mat, either. Looking ahead to her academic career at LHU, she intends to pursue a double major in Political Science and Sports Management.

Staying close to home, Wagner will bring her signature toughness to a Lock Haven squad that is thrilled to keep local talent in Clinton County.

Ransom Takes His Grunt Work to Grove City College

Joining Wagner in the spotlight was Evan Ransom, a cornerstone of the Bucktail Bucks football program. Known for doing the dirty work in the trenches, Ransom was a powerhouse on both sides of the ball for the Bucks, anchoring the line as a left guard on offense and shutting down plays as a defensive tackle.

Ransom officially signed his commitment to Grove City College, where he will continue his football career for the Wolverines. While his size and versatility will be an asset on the gridiron, Ransom’s future plans focus on making an impact off the field as well; he plans on majoring in Social Work.

At Grove City, Ransom joins a program known for its hard-nosed culture—a perfect fit for a lineman who made a name for himself by opening up running lanes and stopping the run. His presence, leadership, and dual-threat capability up front will be sorely missed on the Bucks’ sideline next season.

A Proud Day for Bucktail Athletics

As graduation approaches, both Wagner and Ransom leave behind big shoes to fill in Farwell. However, their legacies are firmly secured, and the entire Bucktail community will undoubtedly be watching and cheering them on as they transition from Bucks to Bald Eagles and Wolverines.

Congratulations, Kendall and Evan!
